The Moshi USB-C to HDMI Adapter can be used to add HDMI 2.0 interface for the Apple 15-inch MacBook Pro (Late 2016) to connect to an external HDMI TV or monitor like the VIZIO M50-C1 50-Inch 4K Ultra HD Smart LED HDTV.
For starters, we connected the VIZIO M50-C1 50-Inch 4K Ultra HD Smart LED HDTV to the Moshi USB-C Multiport Adapter using a HDMI cable. Once we plugged in the tethered USB Type-C cable of the Moshi USB-C to HDMI Adapter directly to any of the Thunderbolt 3 ports of the Apple 15-inch MacBook Pro (Late 2016), the Vizio TV immediately lights up acting as a secondary display for the Mac.
We observed that the VIZIO M50-C1 50-Inch 4K Ultra HD Smart LED HDTV does support 4K@60hz with the Apple 15-inch MacBook Pro (Late 2016) using the Moshi USB-C to HDMI Adapter through HDMI 2.0. You can also change different resolutions from the Mac's Display settings.
Fortunately, you can use the Moshi USB-C to HDMI Adapter with Thunderbolt 3 Mac's like the Apple 15-inch MacBook Pro (Late 2016) which supports DisplayPort 1.2 from its USB Type-C ports.
