The Predator Triton 300 SE was released as Acer's first notebook PC to support Thunderbolt 4, joining the line up of other Thunderbolt 4 Windows PC's such as the Lenovo ThinkPad L13 Yoga (Gen2) and Dell XPS 13 9310.
Thunderbolt 4 enables 8K@30Hz display to be connected through DisplayPort 1.4 on the Acer Predator Triton 300 SE as well as 100W USB Power Delivery 3.0 charging, 32 Gb/s PCIe speeds and USB 4 (20 Gb/s). Note the Thunderbolt 4 port does not accept power through USB Power Delivery, probably because of high power consumption supported by the external 180W AC adapter that shipped with the Acer PC.
The Acer Predator Triton 300 SE also supports HDMI 2.1 that can link up a 8K@60Hz display along with Intel Iris XE chipset, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 GPU, up to 24 GB DDR4 SDRAM, 512 GB SSD and Bluetooth 5.1.
We purchased and unboxed the Acer Predator Triton 300 SE which comes with 14-in 1920 x 1080 IPS LCD.
We took out the Acer Predator Triton 300 SE notebook PC along with a AC power adapter, power cord and documentation from inside the box.
The Chicony conventional AC power brick accessory states to support 180 watts (19.5 volts @ 9.23 amps) charging when plugged in to the Acer PC.
One side of the Acer Predator Triton 300 SE provides a single Thunderbolt 4 based USB Type-C port, one USB 3.1 based Type-A port, DC power inlet and Kensington lock slot.
There are one HDMI 2.1 connector, a USB 3.1 based Type-A port and a headphone jack on the other side of the Acer Predator Triton 300 SE.
The top left of the touchpad also comes with a fingerprint reader which can be useful in case you happen to forget your password.
