SanDisk is one amongst the most aggressive companies addressing the storage needs of mobile device and was the first to ship USB Type-C flash drives. Many mobile devices are coming out with the USB Type-C interface like the Apple MacBook, Google Chromebook Pixel, Asus Transformer Book Filp, Dell XPS 15, Nexus 5X and 6P, etc.
The idea behind the SanDisk Dual USB Drive Type-C is that you can move all your videos and photos that fill up your phone to the flash drive using the USB Type-C connector. When needed, you can transfer those videos and photos to any PC or Mac using the currently more ubiquitous USB Type-A connector that you then use to manage and edit your media.

Also, we found that it couldn't work with the OnePlus 2 phone.
One risk with being early to the market is that there is a high risk of failure seen with the USB Type-C connector. Out of the three we purchased, the USB Type-C connector stopped working after a couple months of use although the USB Type-C Connector is still usable. Hopefully the next version of this product will address this problem.
