The Amazon Fire TV (2015) adds Smart 4K oomph to any 4K TV and is perfect for cheaper, minimally featured 4K TV's like the Vizio M-Series 4K Ultra HD Smart TV.
To add the Fire TV to your Vizio, make sure you use a HDMI cable to connect to the one HDMI 2.0 port, labeled as 4K@60hz. Once you plug in to the HDMI cable, you will immediately start seeing 4K content in 4K resolution on the Vizio TV without having to make any additional setup changes other than selecting the right input of your TV. Over time, you should start seeing more 4K content available from Amazon and its applications compared to Vizio's own limited application library.
For casual users the Vizio 4K Smart TV is pretty easy to use, but those wanting more games, applications and 4K content can get a lot more by adding Amazon's Fire TV.
