The Motorola Moto G6 is enabled with USB Power Delivery 2.0 for fast charging over USB Type-C but how well can it perform using a third party option like the Ventev Wallport pd1300 Wall Charger over USB Power Delivery?

After connecting the Motorola Moto G6 on a dead battery to the Ventev Wallport pd1300 Wall Charger with a USB Type-C to Type-C cable, it took approximately 103 minutes for the phone's battery to fill up entirely as observed.

Starting from 0% battery on the Motorola Moto G6, power was initially pulled close to 15 watts but gradually went down to around 10 watts in the first hour of charging. The power pulled continued to decrease further in the next hour where the current eventually ramped down to about .1 amps as the phone was almost fully charged. Click here to download the trace captured by the GRL-A1 power analyzer to see more details on the entire power charging cycle.

With the Ventev charger, interestingly the Motorola Moto G6 was able to charge slightly much faster compared to 109 minutes observed using its own TurboPower 15W charger.
