For those bloggers out there using WordPress using their smartphones to take pictures, one of the most exasperating things faced is how different phones not only have different picture quality but have different picture orientations when saved in WordPress.
Let's first discuss differences in how picture orientations differ. Apple iPhone and Samsung Galaxy S6 photos taken in portrait mode show up incorrectly rotated into landscape mode on many browsers when published on WordPress. On the other hand, the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro and Google Nexus 5X and 6P all correctly maintain the original portrait orientation.
Here are some side by side comparison shots between the Apple iPhone, Huawei Google Nexus 6P, LG Google Nexus 5X, Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, and Xiaomi Mi Note Pro.
In this mixed indoor and outside photo of a Roti restaurant taken in the morning in Penang, Malaysia the Galaxy S6 Edge and Apple iPhone have a harder time to balance out the outside light and indoor shadows, making everything darker in the photos. There is more balanced contrast in the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro and Google Nexus 5X and 6P.

In this indoor photo of a roti telur and curry breakfast with natural outside lighting the Apple iPhone and the Google Nexus 5X had the best color reproduction realism although the Google Nexus 6P wasn't that far off.

In this night time indoor photo of an hawker food center in Penang, Malaysia the Google Nexus 6P looks the most balanced in exposure while the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge's colors appears too bright and the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro looks too dark.

In this food shot in the same hawker center the Apple iPhone 6S and the Nexus 5X have the best results with the objects closest to the camera showing up in sharper focus.

Given the photo orientations problems associated with the Apple iPhone and Samsung Galaxy S6, it's much easier to recommend the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro and Google Nexus 5X and 6P for WordPress blogs. These Xiaomi and Nexus phones in general take great shots in different lighting conditions allowing you to focus more on your blog rather than having to spend a lot of time editing photos.
