After not really being able to use the Bamboo Fineline well with the Apple 10.5-inch iPad Pro (as seen in this review), we switched to using the Apple Pencil with the same iPad.
Unlike the Bamboo Fineline which uses Bluetooth Low Energy, the Apple Pencil uses standard Bluetooth so once you connect the Apple Pencil to the 10.5-inch iPad Pro's Lightning connector, the Apple Pencil will automatically pair over Bluetooth once you accept the pairing request that pops up on the iPad.
Opening up the same Bamboo Paper App as from the previous review, this time we were able to continuously draw on the 10.5-inch iPad Pro using the Apple Pencil without any discontinuities.
We tried the same experiment with the Microsoft OneNote App and found the Apple Pencil to work well with no drawing discontinuities.
It's not surprising that the Apple Pencil works well with the 10.5-inch iPad Pro where we had a much experience than with the Bamboo Fineline.
