In a previous review, we looked at how to use Bluetooth to pair the LG G6 phone with the Nissan Rogue (2016). Here we checked to make sure the Moto G5 Plus could also work with Bluetooth on the Nissan Rogue (2016) using the same Bluetooth setup procedure.
The Nissan Rogue (2016) doesn't support a USB connection to play content from the Android based Moto G5 Plus so you'll need to use Bluetooth. Fortunately, it's easy to pair the Moto G5 Plus with the Nissan Rogue (2016) over Bluetooth.
Once Bluetooth pairing was successful, we could then play music and make calls. You want to also use third party Apps like Facebook, Twitter, and Trip Advisor, you need to download and install the NissanConnect App.
After you open the NissanConnect App, you'll need choose your language, accept the Terms and Conditions, and sign in or create a new NissanConnect account.
If you open up 'Manage My Apps', you can see which Apps are supported by NissanConnect. Although the App selection is limited, some useful Apps while on the road are Internet Radio ones like Pandora and iHeartRadio.
It's important to understand that you need to install the App itself separately since the NissanConnect doesn't do that for you.
If you also have an Amazon Prime account, you can also play Amazon music over Bluetooth from the Moto G5 Plus to the Nissan Rogue (2016) but you won't be able to control this music through the car's head-unit display since Amazon Apps are not supported through NissanConnect.
