The Huawei SuperCharge charger was launched to support the Huawei Mate 9 and Huawei P10 but let's see how well it works with the Huawei P8 which doesn't support Huawei SuperCharge technology which can supply up to 22.5 watts (4.5 volts @ 5 amps or 5 volts @ 4.5 amps).
After connecting the Huawei SuperCharge to the Huawei P8 using a USB Type-A to Micro-B cable, we can see that it reports about three hours to fully charge from 6% battery.
We can also see using an oscilloscope that the Huawei P8 is pulling 8 watts (5.3 volts @ 1.5 amps) from the Huawei SuperCharge. When the Huawei SuperCharge is connected to a phone that doesn't support SuperCharge like the Huawei P8, it offers just 5 volts @ 2 amps to the phone.
Using the Huawei SuperCharge with the Huawei P8 is just like using any other 10W charger.
