The 27W based Essential Fast Charger that ships with the Essential PH-1 provides up to 14 watts when charging the phone as seen in this review.
When used with the Google Pixel 2 XL at 0% battery, we see that the Essential PH-1 provides up to 18 watts while the phone is off and initially being charged.
When the Google Pixel 2 XL is turned on, we see that the phone charges at up to 24 watts for brief periods of time but again settles at 18 watts of steady state charging.
