The Google Chromebook Pixel (2015) introduced the new USB Type-C port to the world. In addition to being able to use a Type-C to connect USB peripherals and Type-C power supplies, you can also use this connector to output DisplayPort video.
Most TV's don't have a DisplayPort connector so Google also provides a USB Type-C to HDMI Adapter which you can then connect to your TV through a standard HDMI cable.
Even though the Pixel's own display already supports a nice 2560x1700 resolution, if you want to go even higher, you can connect a 4K TV like the Vizio M-Series 4K Ultra HD Smart TV and enjoy 4K quality 3840 × 2160.
