The ZTE MF65M Mobile Hotspot router used by operators like Fastroam is handy when you are on the road overseas as long as it can work with your smartphone, tablet, or PC.  Several devices like the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro won't work with the ZTE MF65M and unfortunately the Microsoft Surface 3 is included in that list.

Even though other devices like the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge has already joined the ZTE MF65M WI-FI network, similar to the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro, the Microsoft Surface 3 will not even show the ZTE MF65M WI-FI network in the list of available networks.
