Like to surf while watching TV?  You can use your Microsoft Surface as a secondary display while also remotely controlling streaming media players like the Roku 4.

Roku 4 Unboxing-27

To set up using the Roku 4 on the Surface, first go the Microsoft App Store and search for Roku.  Select and download the Remote for Roku Player App.

One you open the App, select Remote Control and then select the Roku that you want to remotely control.  Note both the Roku and Surface should be on the same WI-FI network.  You can also directly find the Roku by using its IP address in case auto discovery is not working.

Once the App has connected to the Roku, you can use this App to select different applications on your Roku.  You can also use your Surface keyboard to type content into your Roku through this App which is a lot more convenient compared to trying to hunt and pick each letter from Roku's physical remote.
