StarTech Offers 40Gbps Speeds with DisplayPort and USB Power Delivery Through Its Thunderbolt 3 40Gbps USB-C Cable (.8 m)

The StarTech Thunderbolt 3 40Gbps USB-C Cable (.8 m) offers to provide faster Thunderbolt 3 speeds up to 40 Gbps when connected to a Thunderbolt 3 enabled Mac or Windows PC's. The .8 m / 2.7 ft cable also supports data transfer over the USB-C interface at USB 3.1 Gen 2 speeds (up to 10 Gb/s) as well as DisplayPort 1.2 and USB Power Delivery 2.0 technologies.

The StarTech Thunderbolt 3 40Gbps USB-C Cable (.8 m) can also be used to connect a daisy-chain of up to six Thunderbolt 3 based devices as well as quickly move large 4K video or data files to most Thunderbolt 3 or USB Type-C enabled devices and peripherals at 1x 5K or 2x 4K resolutions. Using the GRL DI20 cable tester to test the insertion loss through the StarTech Thunderbolt 3 40Gbps USB-C Cable (.8 m), we can see the cable has slightly better overall signal integrity performance when compared to the Belkin Thunderbolt 3 40 Gbps USB-C Cable (.8 m) even though they are the same length. The StarTech Thunderbolt 3 40Gbps USB-C Cable (.8 m) loss behavior are close to the Belkin Thunderbolt 3 40 Gbps USB-C Cable (.8 m)  despite the StarTech cable costing less than the more expensive Belkin cable (see review here).
