The Roku Express is Roku's newest low cost way for users to enjoy Roku (click here to see Roku Express's low pricing on Amazon).

After purchasing the Roku Express from Amazon, we took a look a what's inside the box.  Unlike the premium packaging on higher end models like the Roku Ultra, the Roku Express comes with clear packaging that is designed to be more retail friendly.

The Roku Express comes with a few accessories like a simple IR remote control, batteries for the remote, HDMI cable, USB based AC charger, and USB cable for charging.

What's interesting with the Roku Express is that unlike similar low cost devices, the Roku Express decided to incur the costs of including an AC adapter.  This is probably because unlike HDMI media sticks which are inserted into the TV's HDMI port and therefore close enough to get power from the TV's USB ports, the Roku Express needs to be placed at the front of the TV so you can use your remote control to point to it.  You might need to find a longer USB cable depending on how far the Roku Express is from a power outlet.

The Roku Express is smaller and lighter than the remote (with batteries).  This actually makes it easier to move around given the weight and tension of the USB and HDMI cables.  If you can take advantage of it, you should use the adhesive to stick the Roku Express to the TV or some other surface.

The Roku Express is a cheap and easy way for users to enjoy Roku especially if your TV doesn't support 4K since the Roku Express only supports 1080p.  If you want to enjoy 4K content or 4K HDR content, you should look at higher end models like the Roku Ultra.
