The Miracast wireless screen mirroring technology enables you to display the contents of your Samsung Galaxy S8 phone on to a compatible display monitor like the Samsung MU6300 4K UHD TV easily.
To quickly set up Miracast on the Samsung Galaxy S8, select the Smart View feature by simply swiping down from the top of the screen. Samsung provides own proprietary Smart View as a Miracast equivalent for the phone that uses Wi-Fi Direct.
Once opened, Smart View should automatically be able to find the Samsung MU6300 4K UHD TV, which is identified as 'Samsung 6 Series (43)'. Prior to this, ensure that both phone and TV are linked to the same Wi-Fi network. Select the Samsung TV to start the pairing process.
On the Samsung MU6300 4K UHD TV, make sure to select 'Allow' for the TV to establish connection with the Samsung Galaxy S8.
Once screen mirroring is successful, the phone will immediately get connected to the TV, and the phone's screen will be displayed.
Fortunately, the Samsung Galaxy S8 works well over Miracast with the Samsung MU6300 4K UHD TV, which is great for playing YouTube videos and sharing photos on a big screen.
To disconnect screen mirroring, under the phone's swipe-down menu notifications, tap on the TV and select the option to 'End Smart View connection'.
