Simply by attaching the AUKEY CC-Y7 Car Charger to the USB Type-C port of your Samsung Galaxy S8, both of which support USB Power Delivery technology, we'll see how fast the external charger can deliver power to the Samsung phone.

The AUKEY CC-Y7 Car Charger starts charging the Samsung Galaxy S8 over USB Power Delivery with the phone's battery at 60% full by offering 15 watts (5 volts @ 3 amps), 27 watts (9 volts @ 3 amps), and 36 watts (12 volts @ 3 amps). Note that these power profiles don't match those listed on the charger's casing which claims to support 15 watts (5 volts @ 3 amps), 22.5 watts (9 volts and 2.5 amps), and 24 watts (12 volts @ 2 amps) output through its USB Type-C port.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 then requests to pull 15 watts (5 volts @ 3 amps) which is accepted by the charger.

With the Samsung Galaxy S8's battery at 60% full, the phone draws around 6.5 watts (5 volts @ 1.3 amps) from the AUKEY CC-Y7 Car Charger.

It's good to see that USB Power Delivery charging works fine between the Samsung Galaxy S8 and the third party AUKEY CC-Y7 Car Charger over USB Type-C.
