Microsoft OneNote is the Best Free Note Taking App for Apple’s iPad Pro

The Apple iPad Pro with the Apple Pencil is really handy for putting your thoughts down at work, in the classroom, or on a plane. Surprisingly, Apple didn't come out with its own application to support Apple Pencil, thus ceding control of the user experience to third parties. Apps like Paper and Adobe Draw are great for creative types, but for those looking for a more productivity focused App that's free, Microsoft OneNote is the only way to go.

I first used OneNote on Microsoft Surface and it works just as well on the iPad Pro.   Just go to the Apple App Store to find and download Microsoft OneNote.

To use OneNote, you will need to sign in with your Microsoft account or create a new one.

You can easily organize your notes, share them with friends that use Windows or Apple based devices, convert hand drawn shapes to computer ones, etc.

It might be odd to see Microsoft and Apple work so well together especially since they compete heavily in the professional tablet market, but there's no denying that Microsoft OneNote is a great match with the Apple iPad Pro and Apple Pencil.
