The Huawei P10 phone came with the Huawei SuperCharge charger that uses Huawei SuperCharge technology over USB Type-C to provide 22.5 watts (4.5 volts @ 5 amps or 5 volts @ 4.5 amps) of charging to the phone. But in case you have a Mac PC around like the Apple 15" MacBook Pro (Late 2016), you can also plug in the Huawei phone to your Mac to keep it charged. Where possible try getting the Mac attached to the AC power or else most of the Mac's battery charge will be used up during charging.

Also bear in mind that the Apple 15" MacBook Pro (Late 2016) can typically output 15 watts (5 volts @ 3 amps) over USB Power Delivery to charge a peripheral since the Mac supports Thunderbolt 3 on its USB Type-C ports.

To see how both the Huawei P10 and Apple 15" MacBook Pro (Late 2016) support USB Power Delivery charging when connected through USB Type-C, we take a look at the USB Power Delivery communications. Make sure to also select the option to charge the phone under the phone's USB charging settings.

With a fully drained battery on the Huawei P10, we can see over USB Power Delivery negotiations that the phone gets offered an initial 15 watts (5 volts @ 3 amps) by the Mac at 39% full battery.

Meanwhile the Huawei P10 is seen to only request 10 watts (5 volts @ 2 amps) which is accepted by the Mac.

Later we also observe the Apple 15" MacBook Pro (Late 2016) declares a different power profile of 10 watts (5 volts @ 2 amps) which is lower than the 15 watts it initially offered.

The Huawei P10 then goes on to request this 10 watts which the Mac also complies.

We can also see in between negotiations the Huawei P10 displaying its power sink and source capabilities as well as having data role swaps with the Mac.

Here we can confirm that the Apple 15" MacBook Pro (Late 2016) on a 39% charged battery is supplying around 9.7 watts (5 volts @ 1.94 amps) to the Huawei P10 at zero charge and power off. The phone is able to charge with the Mac at around the negotiated 10 watts, although at a much lower power than what the phone could achieve with its own SuperCharge charger.
