The VR ready MSI GS73VR Stealth Pro comes with a Thunderbolt 3 based USB Type-C port which can support dual 4K@60hz displays over DisplayPort 1.2. We wanted to see if the MSI GS73VR Stealth Pro could be used with the Moshi USB-C Multiport Adapter to connect to the LG 4K Ultra HD Smart TV with webOS 2.0 (2015) using HDMI 1.4. We expected to get the max 4K@30hz output resolution possible through HDMI 1.4.
Using a HDMI cable, we connected the LG 4K Ultra HD Smart TV with webOS 2.0 (2015) to the Moshi USB-C Multiport Adapter.
After inserting the Moshi USB-C Multiport Adapter into the MSI GS73VR Stealth Pro, we immediately saw the PC's screen displayed on the LG TV's screen.
Going into the Intel HD Graphics Control Panel, we were able to set the LG 4K Ultra HD Smart TV with webOS 2.0 (2015) at 4K (4096 X 2160) @30hz.
Hence we can confirm that the MSI GS73VR Stealth Pro worked well with the Moshi USB-C Multiport Adapter to connect the LG 4K Ultra HD Smart TV with webOS 2.0 (2015) using 4K@30hz resolution.
