Power banks like the BatPower PD6 will come in handy if you are desperately needing a charge for your Huawei P10 phone which supports both USB Power Delivery and Huawei's own SuperCharge technology over its USB Type-C interface. The BatPower PD6 can support charging using Qualcomm Quick Charge technology in addition to USB Power Delivery, so let's find out how this Qualcomm Quick Charge works for the Huawei P10.

After connecting from the BatPower PD6's Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 based USB Type-A port to the Huawei P10 phone, we can see an initial 0.5 amps current being pulled at 5 volts by the phone while off with a 3% battery. Once turned on, the phone starts pulling higher current of 2 amps resulting in around 10 watts (5 volts @ 2 amps) of charging. This power is lower when compared to using USB Power Delivery to charge the phone as well as using its own Huawei SuperCharge charger. Although the Huawei P10 does not support Qualcomm Quick Charge, it can still charge at 10 watts which is not as fast as using USB Power Delivery or Huawei SuperCharge.
