The Huawei P10 promotes Huawei's own SuperCharge technology but also in fact supports USB Power Delivery over the same USB Type-C connector. To see how it uses USB Power Delivery, we test using the third party BatPower PD6 Power Bank which provides USB Power Delivery charging.

After connecting the BatPower PD6 to the Huawei P10 phone (using the BatPower USB Type-C Adapter to link up both devices), we can see the BatPower PD6 advertises that it can deliver 15 watts (5 volts @ 3 amps), 27 watts (9 volts @ 3 amps), 36 watts (12 volts @ 3 amps), 45 watts (15 volts @ 3 amps) and 60 watts (20 volts @ 3 amps) over USB Power Delivery. These power profiles show that the BatPower PD6 can support only up to 60W and not 90W as promoted on its product label.

The Huawei P10 at 4% battery doesn't hesitate to request and establish 18 watts (9 volts @ 2 amps) with the power bank.

Starting at a 4% full battery, we can see that the Huawei P10 is able to pull current between 1.9 to 2 amps @ 9 volts from the BatPower PD6. While the phone appears to charge well with the power bank, the power drawn is still lower compared to using the Huawei SuperCharge charger.
