Stopping by Singapore in May 2016, it was nice to see several retail electronics stores alive compared to the US which has been increasingly dominated by just Amazon and Best Buy. I stopped by one store, Newstead Technologies.
The store was really promoting yet another Chinese smartphone brand, Leagoo.
Huawei also had a large section promoting various models including the Huawei Google Nexus 6P and Huawei Mate 8.
As expected, there was also a large Samsung section promoting the Galaxy S7 and Gear S2 Smartwatch.
It was good to see several PC's that had the USB Type-C interface including this one from Asus.
This MSI model also had a USB Type-C interface.
So did this Lenovo Yoga 900 model.
There was also various fitness wearables from Fitbit, Jawbone, etc.
Sony was also promoting their Hi-Res Audio products like the Walkman A Series.
Chinese smartphone companies like Oppo also had their own store.
If you are tired of shopping for gadgets, you can easily spend your hard earned cash in Singapore for durian fruit where prices can go through the roof!
