No More Lightning Connector for the Apple Pencil 2 (2018)
The Apple Pencil 2 (2018) was made to support newer iPad models like the 11-inch iPad Pro (2018) and the 12.9-inch iPad Pro. The Apple Pencil 2 (2018) has seen some changes from the original Apple Pencil where one of them is the removal of the Lightning connector on the newer Pencil. This means that you can now magnetically stick the newer Pencil to the newer iPad models for charging or data syncing. The flat side of the Pencil that attaches to the iPad also helps to prevent the Pencil from easily rolling away from the iPad Pro.
Taking a cue from Microsoft's Surface Pen which uses buttons for mouse clicks and erasing, the Apple Pencil 2 (2018) finally has a tap feature for some similar moves. By double tapping on the Apple Pencil, you can quickly navigate through certain apps or simply erase anything.
