What's Inside Apple's New Singapore Store

Like Taiwan, Singapore now has its own Apple Store as Apple continues its expansion into Asian cities which traditionally had to rely on third party resellers for their Apple products.

The Singapore Apple Store has two stories with the top floor having a city park like feel with the trees and ample seating available.

Although Apple HomeKit has less presence in a lot of other retail chains like Best Buy (see this review), even in Singapore the Apple Store has a large impressive demonstration area showing how to enable a Smart Home through HomeKit and controller from a Apple TV (2015), 10.5-inch iPad Pro, and iPhone 7.

The Apple HomeKit products sold in Singapore are pretty much the same as US and Australia with brands like Elgato, Philips, Ooma, and Nanoleaf.

The Apple Store also had Apple HealthKit devices like the Nokia Body+ Body Composition WI-FI Scale and Nokia Body Cardio- Heart Health & Body Composition Wi-Fi Scale which came from Nokia's Withings acquisition.

The Apple Store also had a fair amount of USB Type-C and Thunderbolt based storage from LaCie and G-Technology.

The Thunderbolt 3 Express Dock HD from Belkin was the only Thunderbolt 3 based dock seen.

The new Apple Store in Singapore is great for Singaporeans who had to deal with third party resellers from so many years and can now get direct support from Apple. The store's clean glass outer design, interior comforts as well as location in Singapore prime Orchard Road shopping district won't disappoint Singapore locals and visitors alike.
