Huawei P10 Can Freeze Ford Focus Car Audio System through USB

In a previous review, we saw how bad USB behavior of the Huawei P10 could crash the Tesla Model X. Unfortunately, it looks like the Huawei P10  could do this to other cars like the Ford Focus.  

We first used a USB Type-C to Type-A cable to connect the Huawei P10 to one of the USB Type-A ports of the Ford Focus. There is one underneath the armrest between the driver and front passenger seat.

There is another USB Type-A port in the front underneath the audio system controls.

After pressing the Media button and selecting USB, the system became unresponsive for several minutes to any button press. Unlike the Tesla Model X, there is no manual restart of the system.

Fortunately after a while, the system appeared to become responsive again and report that the USB device cannot be accessed.

Unfortunately the Huawei P10 appears to be able to freeze several car audio systems that try to connect to the phone over USB.
