How Qualcomm Quick Charge Works Between the Nubia Z17 Phone and the Motorola TurboPower 15W Charger
The Motorola TurboPower 15W Charger uses Qualcomm Quick Charge technology branded as Motorola TurboPower rather than USB Power Delivery to provide 15 watts based charging. Let's see how it works between this charger and the Nubia Z17 phone which supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ technology for fast charging via USB Power Delivery or Qualcomm Quick Charge.
When connected to the Nubia Z17's USB Type-C port, the Motorola TurboPower 15W Charger initially supplies about 7.5 watts (5 volts @ 1.5 amps) to the phone but the current pulled quickly drops to 0.5 amps. After 10 seconds, the current goes back up to 1.4 amps for charging to eventually happen at around 7.5 watts (5 volts @ 1.5 amps) when the phone's battery is 6%.
The Motorola TurboPower 15W Charger is unable to charge the Nubia Z17 at the same power level compared to when using the phone's own Qualcomm Quick Charge based charger.
