Use the Right Smart Home Device with Amazon Alexa
Amazon has a broad range of Smart Home devices incorporating its Alexa voice control platform like the Amazon Echo, Amazon Tap, Echo Dot (2nd Generation), and Fire TV Stick with Alexa Voice Remote to allow users to connect to their Alexa enabled devices. All users need to do is just pair their Smart Home devices to the Alexa App, and users will be able to control them easily through any of the devices that accept Alexa voice commands.
The Smart Home product family kicked off with Amazon Echo which is a networked speaker that could always listen to your commands over Wi-Fi using Alexa. Just plug it in and you can start asking the Amazon Echo to fetch the weather forecast or news, play some music, or control some of your home automated devices.
After Amazon Echo, Amazon released the Echo Dot which offers features similar to Echo which also has seven microphones at the top to allow you to hear from any direction.
The Amazon Tap came later to provide a solution for users who are uncomfortable with having a home device that is always listening in. Users can simply press a button on the Amazon Tap to only listen in for a voice command while still able to set up the Tap to always listen in like the Echo if desired.
Other than its own Amazon Echo, Echo Dot and Amazon Tap, Amazon has also allowed third-party hardware makers to build Alexa into their own smart home devices. Below are some of these devices supporting Alexa:

Philips Hue Starter Kit White Ambiance
