Be Ready to Present Anytime with the Belkin USB-C to VGA Adapter
Many of the new USB Type-C notebooks, tablets, and phones come with their own video adapters or docks, but most do not support VGA.
VGA is a legacy standard dating back to 1987 when IBM was still defining graphics standards for PCs. New technologies like HDMI and DisplayPort have become more standard on PCs nowadays, but VGA continues to be persist in many external monitors and projectors.
The Belkin USB-C to VGA Adapter is a useful accessory to carry on the road in case you encounter projectors or displays that require a VGA connector. Just plug this adapter into a phone, tablet, or notebook that supports DisplayPort over USB Type-C, like the Apple MacBook (Early 2015) or the Google Chromebook Pixel (2015). Instead of USB coming out of the USB Type-C connector, the USB Type-C technology automatically switches to outputting DisplayPort, which is then converted by the Belkin Adapter to VGA, to connect to your monitor.
Note that unlike DisplayPort and HDMI, don't expect 4K resolutions to come out of VGA.
The Belkin USB-C to VGA Adapter box comes in the same packaging material as Belkin's other USB Type-C cable products.
