The Apple MacBook (Early 2015) launched with its own USB Type-C accessories like the Apple USB-C VGA Multiport Adapter and the Apple USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter.  These adapters are like mini docks, allowing you to not only connect an external monitor, but also connect a USB device and the MacBook Power Adapter.

Rather than having to buy both of these Apple Adapters, you could simply purchase juat the Apple USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter as your go-to adapter, and then use the cheaper Belkin USB-C to VGA Adapter as a backup in case you find yourself in a meeting room with a projector with VGA only.
