The Plugable USB-C SATA Hard Drive Dock supports USB 3.1 Gen 2 (10 Gb/s) speeds which is found on all Thunderbolt 3 PC's today. You can also use the Plugable USB-C SATA Hard Drive Dock with computers like the Apple MacBook (Early 2016) which supports USB 3.1 Gen 1 (5 Gb/s) speeds over USB Type-C.
The Plugable USB-C SATA Hard Drive Dock also supports SATA Gen 3 (6 Gb/s) which is the fastest standard available for SATA drives.
Note the Plugable USB-C SATA Hard Drive Dock does not use USB Power Delivery so don't expect it to charge your computer.
