Plugable USB-C Cube Docking Station Provides Multi-Wired Interfaces But Won't Charge Connected Mac's or PC's
The Plugable USB-C Cube Docking Station is one of the many USB Type-C dock products sold by Plugable which provides USB Type-C power, USB Type-A, Ethernet and HDMI connectors for the latest Mac's, PC's and tablets. This dock was released as the smallest USB hub from Plugable that is easy to carry and connect to your Apple 13" MacBook Pro (2018), Microsoft Surface Book 2 , HP Spectre x360 or the Dell XPS 13 9370 any where.
Note the Plugable USB-C Cube Docking Station does not support any charging for the computing device connected to the dock.
The Plugable USB-C Cube Docking Station includes a 20W AC power adapter and USB Type-C to Type-C cable as accessories in the box.
You will need to connect the 20W AC adapter to the power in receptacle of the Plugable USB-C Cube Docking Station for power supply.
The supplied USB Type-C cable is used to connect to the computing device from the dock's USB 3.1 Gen 1 based USB Type-C port.
The back of the Plugable USB-C Cube Docking Station provides one USB 3.1 Gen 1 (5 Gb/s) Type-A port and two USB 2.0 (480 Mb/s) Type-A ports for data as well as one Gigabit Ethernet port and one HDMI 1.4 port for 4K@30hz video.
Any USB data peripheral like a USB storage drive connected to the dock's USB Type-A port should be accessible by the computing device.
If the computing device supports DisplayPort Alt Mode over USB Type-C and/or Thunderbolt 3, you can also link up an external 4K monitor from the HDMI port to output video up to 4K@30hz resolution depending on the capability of the computing device and monitor.
