A Quick Look at the Plugable USB-A to USB-C Passive Adapter Cable
Most of us have a lot of USB Type-A storage drives and other peripherals lying around. If you need to attach them to one of the new computers or mobile devices with a USB Type-C connector, the Plugable USB-A to USB-C Passive Adapter Cable can come in handy. Just connect the Plugable USB-A to USB-C Passive Adapter Cable to the computer, tablet, or phone, and you can then insert the USB Type-A device into the adapter.
The Plugable USB-A to USB-C Passive Adapter Cable should be able to support USB 3.1 Gen 1 (5 Gb/s) speeds.
Just note that any USB Power Delivery functions will not be available since it relies on signals not available on the USB Type-A connector. Instead, you'll need to use the standard 5V@900mA that is available on USB 3.1 Type-A ports.
