One of the nice features of USB Type-C docks like the OWC Type-C Dock is they use USB Power Delivery to charge computers like the Dell XPS 15 9550 Laptop.  Using software from Granite River Labs, we can confirm that the OWC Type-C Dock provides 60 watts (20 volts @ 3 amps) of charging to the Dell XPS 15 9550 Laptop when directly connected using a compliant USB Type-C to Type-C cable.
