OWC Thunderbolt Hub Extends Thunderbolt Connectivity with Four Thunderbolt 4 Ports

The OWC Thunderbolt Hub links up your Mac or Windows PC to provide four Thunderbolt 4 based USB Type-C ports and one USB Type-A port. The hub allows connecting to a USB Type-C notebook computer while charging and performing data syncing for USB Type-C phones, tablets, bus-powered Thunderbolt devices as well as other USB Type-A peripherals. The Thunderbolt 4 based USB Type-C ports support USB4 (up to 20 Gb/s) speeds while the USB Type-A port supports USB 3.2 Gen 2 for up to 10 Gb/s speeds for connected devices.

Here's how the OWC Thunderbolt Hub looks like after purchase.

The OWC Thunderbolt Hub comes with a conventional AC power adapter along with a separate Thunderbolt 4 enabled USB Type-C cable for accessories. The AC adapter supports 110 watts for charging the hub when plugged in to the hub's DC In port and connected to AC power.

The three Thunderbolt 4 based USB Type-C ports next to the DC power connector and Kensington lock on one side of the hub are used to connect to devices or drives that support Thunderbolt as well as provide up to 15W of power.

Each Thunderbolt 4 port can also link up one 5K, 6K or 8K display or two 4K displays or even docks or hubs with up to four Thunderbolt 4 ports.

The single USB Type-C port on the other side of the hub also supports Thunderbolt 4 and is used to connect to the Thunderbolt based computer. Any peripheral connected to any of the hub's interfaces should also be accessible by the computer connected to the hub. You can use the Thunderbolt 4 based USB Type-C cable that came with the hub (or other compliant Thunderbolt / USB Type-C cables) to do this.

This Thunderbolt 4 port allows max 60W of charging for the connected computer using USB Power Delivery 3.0 technology.
