Moshi Symbus Q Compact USB-C Dock Can Be Used to Charge Your Qi Enabled Phone and USB Type-C Based PC Simultaneously

To keep up with the current wireless charging trend, the Moshi Symbus Q Compact USB-C Dock enables both Qi wireless and wired USB Type-C charging in a single multiport dock. The Moshi dock claims to support the Qi Extended Power Profile (EPP) to offer fast wireless charging up to 15W as well as 7.5W for Apple's and 10W for Samsung's Qi enabled phones. For wired interfaces, the Moshi Symbus Q Compact USB-C Dock provides USB Type-C power, USB Type-A, Ethernet and DisplayPort/HDMI connectors for the latest Mac's, PC's and phones/tablets.

Here's a quick look at the Moshi Symbus Q Compact USB-C Dock upon purchase. The Moshi dock highlights the Qi logo indicating it has been Qi certified on its box. Unfortunately from our own testing, we discovered that the Qi charging stopped working after a while of using this Moshi dock. 

The Moshi Symbus Q Compact USB-C Dock comes with a tethered non-removable USB Type-C cable that is used to connect to your computing device along with a conventional AC power adapter accessory. You will need to connect this AC adapter to the power in receptacle of the Moshi Symbus Q Compact USB-C Dock so that power can flow through to the computing device. If the computing device supports USB Power Delivery based charging, it can be rapidly charged up to 60W via USB Power Delivery using the Moshi dock.

There's also an LED indicator at the front corner of the Moshi Symbus Q Compact USB-C Dock that indicates when charging is happening.

The back of the Moshi Symbus Q Compact USB-C Dock also includes a Gigabit Ethernet port and a HDMI 1.4 port for 4K@30hz video. If the computing device supports DisplayPort over USB Type-C and/or Thunderbolt 3, you can also link up an external 4K monitor from the HDMI port to output video up to 4K@30hz resolution depending on the capability of the computing device and monitor.  

The front of the Moshi Symbus Q Compact USB-C Dock contains two USB 3.1 Gen 1 (5 Gb/s) Type-A ports for data. Any USB data peripheral like a USB storage drive connected to the dock's USB Type-A port should be accessible by the computing device.
