How to Set Up the Lenovo Vibe K4 Note
After success of the Vibe K3 Note in the cutthroat price competitive Indian phone market, Lenovo upped the ante with a launch of Lenovo Vibe K4 Note smartphone in the January 2016. The Lenovo Vibe K4 Note is a simple but elegant workhorse with the excellent multimedia features which can give other top ends phones a run for their money. Despite all the under the hood features, Lenovo managed to keep price point very reasonable.
Lenovo Vibe K4 Note sports a 5.5-inch FHD (1920×1080 pixels) at 441 ppi with 178 degree wide angle, 450 Nits IPS display which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is the first phone with TheaterMax technology and Dolby Atmos® surround sound speakers.
The Lenovo Vibe K4 Note has a 1.3 GHz octa core MediaTek MT6753 processor and it comes with 3 GB of RAM, 16GB onboard storage, Android 5.1,13 Megapixel back camera with f/2.2 aperture and Phase Detection Auto focus (PDAF), and a microSD card (up to 128 GB) along with two Micro-SIMs slots and fingerprint sensor.
I had ordered the Lenovo Vibe K4 Note through Amazon India at the price of 10999 INR. I had ordered the phone on Friday and received the phone on Monday. The Amazon package arrived without any damages.
Inside Amazon's packaging, you can see the Lenovo Vibe K4 Note box which shows the Lenovo brand written on it. The other details pertaining to the phone were written on the back side of the box.
Inside the box you will see the Lenovo Vibe K4 Note as well as accessories belonging to the phone.
The accessories include user guide,back case,power adaptor and USB Type A to Micro B cable, and screen guard.
The Lenovo Vibe K4 Note is a black coloured, stylish Dual SIM (Micro) Dual standby smartphone with a curved back panel. The smartphone comes with a 5.5 inch Full HD IPS LCD multi touch display with 1080 x 1980 pixels resolution, pixel density of 401 ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection from scratches. The Lenovo Vibe K4 Note is powered by Octa core Mediatek MT6753 processor, Mali T720 MP3 Graphics . To capture your beautiful moments, it comes with a 13MP rear camera with features like f/2.2 aperture, phase detection autofocus, dual-LED (dual tone) flash, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR, panorama. A 5MP front facing camera for selfie and video calling is also available.
On the memory front, Lenovo Vibe K4 Note comes with 16 GB Internal memory which is expandable up to 128GB via SD card. It is backed up by a 3300 mAh Battery but doesn't support Qualcomm Quick Charge. A host of connectivity options are available on Lenovo Vibe K4 Note including 4G, GPRS/EDGE, 3G, WI-FI, WI-FI hotspot, GPS, NFC, Bluetooth and USB 2.0.
Once the power button on the right side of the phone is turned on, the screen displays 'Welcome' and allow you to choose language of your choice. Following the language selection, you can join an available WI-FI network.
Once WI-FI selection is complete, you can set up the password and privacy settings.It shows SIM card missing status as we usually get the status to Insert SIM Card. Here you can insert SIM card or you can skip this step to go further.
There is a option to copy your Android phone setup such as Google accounts, apps and data from other Android device or else you can create your new Google Account.
After initializing time and date, you can set screen pattern for phone protection else can skip this step. Accept the license and agreement from Lenovo as well as you can use other services provided by them.
Once all these steps are followed you are ready to use the Lenovo Vibe K4 Note easily.
Lenovo Vibe K4 Note has good camera quality, fast and smooth touch response and excellent Dolby audio speakers. It has other features like Google Cast, NFC and LED indicator. This phone does lag behind in some areas because of its plastic build and only 16 GB of internal storage. The fingerprint scanner is not so quick and accurate, but it is OK for normal usage.
