KabelDirekt 4K HDMI Cable (50 ft) Can't Reach 18 Gb/s Bandwidth As Advertised

The 4K HDMI Cable (50 ft) is one of many cable products sold by KabelDirekt that advertises on Amazon to support 4K@60Hz, Ultra HD, 1080p Full HD and 3D HDMI outputs up to 18 Gb/s with ARC and Ethernet. Unfortunately, we tested the cable to support up to only 10.2 Gb/s rather than 18 Gb/s as claimed.

The KabelDirekt 4K HDMI Cable (50 ft) also comes with gold plated connector design and full metal shielding for better quality signal transmission when connected to your HDMI enabled 4K or HD TV's or displays, and computers or other devices.

Using the GRL DI20 cable tester to test the insertion loss (IL) through the KabelDirekt 4K HDMI Cable (50 ft), we can see the cable has lower overall signal integrity performance when compared to the BlueRigger 4K HDMI Cable (50 ft) even though they are the same length. The KabelDirekt 4K HDMI Cable (50 ft) also has higher loss under 10 GHz compared to the BlueRigger 4K HDMI Cable (50 ft).
