Ear Friendly Jabra Storm Offers HD Sound with Noise Blackout

If your smartphone comes with NFC technology, you can pair it easily with the Storm mono headset by Jabra which is also NFC enabled. At only 7.9 grams, the lightweight Jabra Storm can connect to two supported devices simultaneously over Bluetooth 4.0 and offers 9 hours of talk time. The headset features high quality sound by adopting its own Noise Blackout technology for background noise cancelation. The Jabra Storm also supports simple voice control for answering or rejecting calls as well as an operating voice guidance.

We purchased the Jabra Storm which came in Jabra's signature yellow and gray product packaging.

The headset is supplemented with a USB charging cable with a USB micro-B connector, eargel, wind sock, and documentation. The wind sock can be applied on the microphone to block out wind noise.

The Jabra Storm headpiece is compact and light enough to be worn comfortably behind the ear and carried around easily. We like that it is  barely noticeable while wearing and also easy to access the controls like volume, power on/off, and call buttons. However the fixed earphone's height can be improved by making it adjustable to cater for different ear sizes.

Since the Jabra Storm packs in a lot of features with a fairly decent price, we can't complain much although an adaptive volume control would work better especially in heavy traffic and noisy environment without having to manually adjust the volume.  

We had no issues pairing the headset with supported devices over Bluetooth and NFC. The headset also worked well when we tested its call quality in a typical office environment. However when we took it to the streets in Bangalore, India, the voice quality dropped although the headset managed to cancel out the heavy traffic background noise. 

We also encountered frequent connection dropouts in between usage and find the connection to be unstable when there's an obstacle in the line of sight. At the same time, we also find it difficult to reactivate the headset after switching it off to save battery.
