The SanDisk 64GB Dual Drive USB-C Flash Drive is only sold in Apple Stores but it can work with Windows devices with USB Type-C ports.

While Thunderbolt 3 PC's like the HP Spectre Laptop (13.3") support USB 3.1 Gen 2 (10 Gb/s) over USB Type-C, the SanDisk 64GB Dual Drive USB-C Flash Drive only supports USB 3.1 Gen 1 (5 Gb/s) link speeds which is sufficient for most casual users.

This time however we found that the SanDisk 64GB Dual Drive USB-C Flash Drive was having problems trying to connect to the HP Spectre Laptop (13.3") over USB Type-C.

As clearly seen from the HP Spectre Laptop (13.3") screenshots below, the SanDisk 64GB Dual Drive USB-C Flash Drive does not enumerate at all in both Device Manager and Disk Management. The flash drive also had issues with the Spectre x360 (2nd Generation 2017) in this review but unlike the HP Spectre Laptop (13.3"), it was constantly enumerating when connected to the Spectre x360 (2nd Generation 2017).

All in all, the SanDisk 64GB Dual Drive USB-C Flash Drive fails to work with the HP Spectre Laptop (13.3") when connected over USB Type-C.

However, once we replace the SanDisk 64GB Dual Drive USB-C Flash Drive with the Kingston DataTraveler microDuo 3C over the same USB Type-C, we can see that the Kingston DataTraveler microDuo 3C connects correctly to the HP Spectre Laptop (13.3"). The Kingston DataTraveler microDuo 3C also works properly when connected through other USB Type-C ports of the HP Spectre Laptop (13.3").
