My Sony Bravia 4K TV purchased in India has many built in apps,  so I thought of trying Google Play Movies & TV App one day. Surprisingly, it dragged me into deep trouble by changing its language from English to Japanese.

Let me share my experience how I managed to get back to the original English Language setup.

After clicking "Google Play Movies & TV" to start the App on the Sony TV, it surprisingly changed the default language settings from English to Japanese.

 

 

After a lot of struggle, I managed to call up Sony support center in India for help. They informed me that Sony Bravia TV is manufactured in Japan, and the default language is set as Japanese.  That was a very odd response since the TV was sold in India to Indian consumers who don't generally understand Japanese.

So, I went back to the TV and found a solution to the problem myself.

All I did was go to Settings -->Apps -> Google play & Tv -->Clear cache within the Google app.

After clearing the cache, the menus changed back to English and I could go back to enjoying Google Play Movies & TV in English.
