The very affordable Mi Band 2 not only caters for Xiaomi's own phones but is also compatible with a wide range of phones like the recent Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge.
The Mi Band 2 communicates with the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge using the Mi Fit App which you can download and install from Google Play.
When you open the Mi Fit App, you need to sign into your Mi Account or create a new account if you don't have already one.
You'll also need to give the App certain permissions after you sign in and start customizing your profile.
To enable the App to start pairing with the Mi Band 2, make sure to turn on Bluetooth. Then 'Select devices to pair' and choose 'Band' from the list.
Just select the Mi Band 2 once it is found to complete the setup process. You can then proceed to customize the tracker such as which wrist it's worn on and app notifications. You can also perform additional customizations on your profile and accounts.
The Xiaomi Mi Band 2 is one of the easiest fitness trackers to set up and works well on an Android smartphone like the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge.
