The RAVPower Xtreme 26800mAh Portable Charger with Type C Port + 30W Type-C AC Charger by RAVPower comprises of a USB Power Delivery based portable battery as well as a USB Power Delivery based AC charger which uses a USB Type-C connector for charging. Here we will use only the RAVPower Xtreme 26800mAh Portable Charger with Type C Port + 30W Type-C AC Charger's portable battery to charge the USB Power Delivery enabled LG gram Touch 15" Laptop (2016) and see how it fares with the notebook.
The USB Power Delivery negotiations initially show that the RAVPower Xtreme 26800mAh Portable Charger with Type C Port + 30W Type-C AC Charger's battery supports only a single 15 watts (5 volts @ 3 amps) power profile. The LG gram Touch 15" Laptop (2016) then requests to pull only 0.5 watts (5 volts @ 0.1 amps) which the charger accepts.
The charger battery later declares that it supports not only the 15 watts (5 volts @ 3 amps) it initially declared but also four other power profiles: 27 watts (9 volts @ 3 amps), 28.8 watts (12 volts @ 2.4 amps), 31.5 watts (15 volts @ 2.1 amps), and 30 watts (20 volts @ 1.5 amps). The LG gram Touch 15" Laptop (2016) again requests to draw 0.5 watts (5 volts @ 0.1 amps) from the battery which it accepts.
The RAVPower Xtreme 26800mAh Portable Charger with Type C Port + 30W Type-C AC Charger's battery later oddly declares that it supports only a single 0.25 watts (5 volts @ 0.05 amps) power profile, which the LG gram Touch 15" Laptop (2016) follows up by requesting to pull 0.25 watts (5 volts @ 0.05 amps) from the charger battery which it accepts.
While the RAVPower Xtreme 26800mAh Portable Charger with Type C Port + 30W Type-C AC Charger battery charges the LG gram Touch 15" Laptop (2016) with the notebook's battery being already well charged, we can see that the LG gram Touch 15" Laptop (2016) only pulls 0.25 watts (5 volts @ 0.05 amps) from the charger battery.
The RAVPower Xtreme 26800mAh Portable Charger with Type C Port + 30W Type-C AC Charger's portable battery is unable to properly charge the LG gram Touch 15" Laptop (2016) over USB Power Delivery.
