If you own a Nintendo Switch, you can also use its charger to provide charging to certain USB Power Delivery enabled phones like the LG G6. We'll connect the Nintendo Switch AC Adapter to the LG G6 over USB Type-C and see how well they perform using USB Power Delivery.
The Nintendo Switch AC Adapter starts USB Power Delivery negotiations with the LG G6 by advertising its source capabilities of 7.5 watts (5 volts @ 1.5 amps) and 39 watts (15 volts @ 2.6 amps). The LG G6 in turn requests 7.5 watts (5 volts @ 1.5 amps) from the charger which it accepts.
We can see that the LG G6 is charging at 7.5 watts (5 volts @ 1.5 amps).
The Nintendo Switch AC Adapter can charge the LG G6 over USB Power Delivery but unfortunately the adapter doesn't use the more standard 5 volts @ 3 amps power profile which would allow the phone to charge faster.
