The Huawei P10 promotes Huawei's own SuperCharge technology but also in fact supports USB Power Delivery over the same USB Type-C connector.
To demonstrate this, we use the Google 18W USB-C Power Adapter which originally shipped with the Google Pixel phone. After connecting the Google 18W USB-C Power Adapter to the Google Pixel phone with a USB Type-C to Type-C cable, we can see the Google 18W USB-C Power Adapter advertises that it can deliver 15 watts (5 volts @ 3 amps) and 18 watts (9 volts @ 2 amps).
The Huawei P10 then requests 9 volts @ 2 amps from the charger.
We can see that the Huawei P10 is able to pull 9 volts @ .9 amps from the Google 18W USB-C Power Adapter which is lower power compared to using the Huawei SuperCharge charger.
