The Startech USB 3.0 to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter (USB31000SA) is based on a Realtek RTL8153 USB 3.0 to Gigabit Ethernet chipset, and can be used by the Nintendo Switch Dock, Windows PC's, and Chromebooks that still use a USB 3.1 Gen 1 (5 Gb/s) based Type-A Port. We will be comparing the performance of this product compared to other USB 2.0 and 10/100 based USB Ethernet adapters.

Startech offers this model in a silver metal casing that matches well with older Macs which still have the USB Type-A ports.
