Sony stores have largely been disappearing from the US but are still going strong in other places like Singapore where Sony and Japan electronics still have a strong brand.
Sony's support of Android TV's and 4K on models like the Sony Bravia 4K Ultra HD Smart LED TV were on full display.
Sony's PlayStation, another recognizable brand also had a large display showing off consoles like the Playstation 4 Slim, PlayStation 4 Pro, and Sony PlayStation VR virtual reality headsets.
Sony Xperia phones are harder to find in the US but are still going strong in Japan and models like the Xperia XZ are still heavily advertised in places like Singapore.
Sony Xperia phones are interesting in that they support both Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 and MediaTek PumpExpress+ 2.0 which is why they have dual model charger products like the Sony Quick Charger UCH12W. Sony's cable and charger accessories supported both USB Type-C and micro-B connectors.
Audio is another area where Sony's brand legacy is very strong. To continue to support this, Sony had a large Hi-Res display area showing off its Hi-Resolution audio players NW-WM1Z and NW-WM1A as well as Hi-Resolution Audio MDR-Z7 headphones and PHA-3 headphone amplifier.
In the Hi-Res audio area, Sony also demonstrated how to use its Hi-Res solution to transfer analog vinyl records to uncompressed digital formats.
Sony also showcased how you could project and create a touch control on any surface with the Xperia Touch G1109 smart projector which has its own Android operating system and Apps, while being able to project video and audio from HDMI inputs, DLNA over Wi-Fi, Miracast, and Bluetooth.
If you want to project to a wall, the Portable HD Mobile Projector MP-CL1A is another portable projector option that accepts HDMI, MHL, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth connections to transmit video and audio from your phone or computer.
Sony also promoted its line of action cams like the Sony FDR-X3000 complete with fully body and bike dummy models.
For Sony fans, the Sony store in Singapore is a great reminder of Sony's offerings in so many product categories, as it tries to maintain the strength of its brand around the world.
