The LG G6 supports both Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 based chargers like the one that came shipped with the phone as well as those chargers that support USB Power Delivery.
One of the odd things that users will notice that when charging the LG G6 with its own charger, the phone's Battery usage screen is unable to quickly estimate the time it takes to charge. In fact, they often give very long charging times which are not realistic. These charging time estimates also keep charging and not very helpful to the user.
By comparison, when plugging in the LG G6 with a USB Power Delivery based charger like the Google Universal Type-C Charger 60W, we can see that the Battery usage screen is able to very quickly and more accurately estimate the charging time.
The Android operating system is able to get information faster on how much power is being used or charging, while with Qualcomm Quick Charge, it probably takes more time for the operating system to estimate the power being used based on how much power is actually being drawn.
