Third party Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 chargers like the SoftBank SELECTION USB Type-C Fast Charging AC Adapter can come useful to  supplement charging for the HTC 10 phone in case there's no access to the phone's own Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 charger. To see how the HTC 10 uses Qualcomm Quick Charge with the SoftBank charger, we plug the charger in directly to the USB Type-C connector on the phone.

While the HTC 10 is off at zero charge, we can see that the phone begins pulling around 5 watts (5 volts @ 1 amps) but the power then gradually increases to about 12.5 watts (5 volts @ 2.5 amps). The current level drops slightly to 1.5 amps after 2.5 minutes of charging but quickly goes back up again to 2.5 amps. When the phone is turned on, it repeats its initial charging by pulling 1 amps at 5 volts but as the phone goes into sleep mode, the current starts to increase to reach slightly over 3 amps before returning to charge at around 12.3 watts (4.9 volts @ 2.5 amps).

The SoftBank SELECTION USB Type-C Fast Charging AC Adapter is able to charge the HTC 10 phone using Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 at almost similar power levels as seen with other USB Power Delivery based chargers like the one in this review.
