The Beats Solo3 Wireless has amazing Class 1 Bluetooth performance allowing it to wireless play audio up to 100 meters. If you have a Windows PC like the Lenovo ThinkPad P50 Mobile Workstation Laptop, the native Bluetooth performance is Class 2 which is rated up to 10 meters.
When we first used the Lenovo ThinkPad P50 Mobile Workstation Laptop's native Bluetooth to connect to the Beats Solo3 Wireless, we only saw an effective Bluetooth of about 15 meters (using clear line of sight).

Once the driver was installed, we could go to the Add Bluetooth Device screen and pair with the Beats Solo3 Wireless,
The StarTech Mini USB Bluetooth 4.0 Adapter - 50m (165ft) Class 1 EDR Wireless Dongle works on the ThinkPad P50 Mobile Workstation Laptop but we found that the connection was only stable up to 35 meters with clear line of sight. We found that over 35 meters, the audio quality becomes unstable.
